About Us:
Auto Bodyworx is a professional vehicle body repair company offering both mobile and workshop-based services. We specialise in high-quality body repairs, paint spraying and SMART repairs. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled or newly qualified Paint Sprayer to join our small team.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Paint Sprayer to carry out both mobile and workshop-based duties. The role involves traveling to customers’ homes to complete SMART repairs and working in our workshop to prep and paint vehicles in our spray booth. The candidate must have a full clean UK driving license.
Successful candidates will be required to attend a two-day paid skills test/trial with the owner of Auto Bodyworx. All new employees will be subject to a six-month probationary period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out SMART repairs, including minor paintwork, scratch removal, and panel resprays at customers' locations or in the workshop/spraybooth
* Prepare, mask, and paint vehicles in the workshop spray booth
* Must be competent carrying out minor dent repairs
* Mix and match paint to ensure a perfect colour & finish
* Use appropriate tools and equipment for repairs and spraying
* Ensure high-quality standards in all work undertaken
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, both mobile and in the workshop
* Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
* Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times
* You may sometimes be required to assist with customer vehicle collections & deliveries
* You may also be required to assist in mentoring and supporting an apprentice as part of their training and development
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer, preferably in both mobile and workshop settings
* Strong knowledge of paint preparation, application, and finishing techniques
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work
* Full clean UK driving license
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
* Confident talking to customers
