Hartlepool Borough Council is looking to employ a part-time Caretaker who is energetic, flexible, and eager to support our team based within the Centre of Independent Living / Waverley Terrace Allotment. Applicants should be highly motivated and forward-thinking, ensuring the building and facilities are 'spot' cleaned and maintained, both internally and externally, to the highest standard to allow people who use the service, staff, and visitors to work in a safe and pleasant environment. General Caretaking duties to include: Minor repairs & maintenance Ensuring that the premises remain compliant with health & safety regulations Security/opening and closing of the building The cleaning of toilets Preparing rooms for events, meetings, and conferences is also a key responsibility, requiring some work to be undertaken on evenings and weekends. The successful applicant will have access to regular training and developmental opportunities, as well as receiving regular supervision and an annual appraisal.
