Facilities Manager
My client has a state-of-the-art heavy engineering automotive component manufacturing facility based in the Belfast area. They are one of the global market leaders in their field and are based in over 60 countries across the globe. They are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving all plant facilities. Salary is £42,000, pension 9%, 33 holidays, death in service, healthcare, sick pay, and a subsidised canteen. Experience as a Facilities Manager within a manufacturing environment is essential for the position.
Hours:
1. Mon – Thurs 8.00am - 4.30pm
2. Fri 8.00am - 2.30pm
Role - Facilities Manager
1. Manage service contracts and continuously review the efficiency of providing services in-house or by contract.
2. Project-manage the installation, commissioning, and working of facilities/energy improvement projects and ensure stakeholders are fully informed.
3. Ensure an effective monitoring system for the consumption of gas and electricity throughout the plant.
4. Reduce operating costs by driving suppliers and improvement projects.
Person - Facilities Manager
1. Have attained a Building Services or Engineering qualification at HND level or equivalent.
2. At least 2 years’ experience within a plant manufacturing maintenance environment.
3. Experience of managing a team.
4. Experience of negotiating contracts.
5. Experience of managing contractors on site.
