Ferraris Piston Service Limited (FPS) is a key subsidiary of the UK Group and has specialised in distribution and wholesale for over 85 years; their product portfolio spanning automotive, maintenance & accessories and retail sectors within the UK and Ireland, having annualised sales of c.£m and operating from 24 sites across the UK.
The Position – Purchase Ledger Administrator
FPS is currently looking to recruit an individual to form part of the Purchase Ledger team, using Kerridge K8 & MAM. Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager, the role will include:
1. Posting a high volume of invoices to the ledger (Stock and Overheads)
2. Validation of purchase invoices, by agreement to evidence of delivery, or provision of services, at various locations
3. Reconciliation of supplier statements in electronic/excel format
4. Troubleshooting - Investigating, understanding & correcting mis-postings
5. Preparation of three monthly BACS payments
6. Involvement with the continuous development of K8
7. Management of employee credit cards, including receipts reconciliations, posting costs onto the nominal ledger and general administration of the card scheme.
The Group has a strict structure of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, so the applicants need to be comfortable working to externally imposed deadlines.
The applicant should also be comfortable in an office environment, working with multiple currencies and be proficient in using Excel to an intermediate level.
Person Specification
8. Experience of working in a fast-paced Purchase Ledger environment
9. Experience with Kerridge K8 & MAM beneficial, but not essential
10. Good communication skills, both written and verbally
11. Comfortable dealing with suppliers and resolving queries via email or over the phone
12. Excel proficiency to an intermediate level
13. Keen attention to detail and the self-discipline to work to a precise level of accuracy
14. A flexible approach to roles and duties, being prepared to take on varied tasks at short notice
15. Enthusiastic individual that is keen to learn, get involved and help to develop and improve processes
