The Workshop Foreman/Chargehand is responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop. Overseeing the Technician team, ensuring key performance indicators are achieved, whilst being on the tools and maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
What are the working hours?
Monday to Friday, 14:00-22:00, with a 30-minute paid break per shift
What is the pay?
We are offering up to £24 per hour, dependent upon experience

What are the responsibilities of the role?
* Manage all staff, including monitoring of timekeeping and productivity, authorising overtime, and identifying training needs
* Establish a close working relationship with all departments
* Deal with queries in an effective manner ensuring all actions are met
* Assist in training and development programs for all department staff
* Maximise the profitability of both parts and service departments, including continual improvements in utilisation of staff and efficiency of organisation
* Access, produce and follow up all quotations for all types of equipment
* Control and maintain departmental parts stock levels
* Contribute to the development of all operating and administrative systems to ensure that quality, efficient and timely work is carried out
* Remain up to date with all relevant legal requirements
* Achieve and strive to exceed customer service level expectations and agreements
* Ensure premises and company vehicles are maintained to a high standard
* Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
What are we looking for in a candidate?
* Technical Qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Qualified Technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining HGV vehicles
* Current driving licence
* Supervisory or management experience
* Ability to work within a team
* Excellent organisation and analytical skills
* Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
* Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
