The key purpose of this role is to lead, inspire and motivate a team of 5-15 staff members. The role incorporates all manufacturing, filling, inspection and packaging activities to deliver higher productivity, lower cost of waste through a highly motivated team.
In this role you will…
* Ensure consistent schedule adherence and strive to continually drive down material usage.
* Lead, develop, and coach a shift team to meet operational and compliance targets, reward high performance, and manage poor performance.
* Manage site disciplinary procedures and ensure standard ways of working are applied, including dealing with issues during shifts and sharing best practices.
* Comply with workplace health and safety regulations, ensure effective handovers, and contribute to budgetary planning and cost center budget delivery.
* Develop effective relationships with departmental support teams, ensure SOPs are in place and followed, lead Continuous Improvement strategy, and maintain Quality standards.
* Support recruitment and succession planning processes, manage regulatory inspections, generate business information, and act as a mentor and lead manager outside day hours.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven ability to motivate others towards desired behaviours, demonstrating passion, energy, drive, and a sense of urgency.
* Strong knowledge of GMP and understanding of its business impacts.
* Skilled in data interpretation to enhance decision-making processes.
* Excellent planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities.
* Capable of embedding an OE mindset and applying OE tools; ideally Green Belt accredited or working towards it.
* Aptitude for coaching and transferring expertise and knowledge to others for their development.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Degree level or equivalent preferred.
