The Role As the Lead Outpatients Nurse, you'll be responsible for the provision of high-quality evidence-based nursing care in a clinic setting with a focus upon the implementation of smooth and efficient outpatient and diagnostic clinics. In addition to the clinical aspects of the service, the role holder will also need to have an understanding of, and be able to assist in, the areas of finance, equipment, IT and consultant liaison as required. What You'll Do Be a clinical expert and lead by example, acting as a role model at all times and adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. Lead the outpatient department providing day-to-day management of the department ensuring that all staff who work within the service have the competence, training and skill set to adequately carry out the roles required of them and highlight training gaps and needs. Lead on the rostering of staff to ensure clinics are run and staffed sufficiently in order to deliver maximum quality and efficiency. What You'll Have Experience and skills: Experience of assisting with minor procedures desirable Previous experience of working within an outpatient setting Good communication skills Venepuncture & cannulation skills Qualifications And Knowledge Registered Nurse with NMC registration. Relevant post registration programme qualification.
