Evelyn Partners Data Services Team
At Evelyn Partners, we are expanding our Technology and Data Services team, investing in a large-scale modernisation programme to drive innovation and insights. We’re building a new team to enhance data modelling, reporting, AI initiatives, and cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
As part of our transformation, we’re growing our engineering and development team to automate reporting and deliver Power BI-driven insights that empower end users. This means exciting opportunities for learning, upskilling, and working with the latest technologies.
These roles can be based in Liverpool or Glasgow, with the requirement to be in the office to collaborate with colleagues twice a week.

What will you be doing?
As a Platform Engineer you will provision infrastructure as code (Terraform) including end to end environments & resources. You will manage identities and associated permissions as well as core environment infrastructure such as storage, networking, logging & analytics, secrets management. A good understanding of Azure Container Apps and event driven processing would be a plus.
As a Platform Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Core data platform infrastructure such as Azure Data Factory, Azure BLOB Storage, Azure Batch etc.
* Develop automation scripts and tooling to create capacity within the Data Services team.
* Build CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions, including build/test/deployment workflows across Azure resources.
* Monitor system performance to analyse performance, security, and reliability utilising Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights and Azure alerts.
* Integrate security and compliance into the platform with encryption and access management.
* Document configurations and processes so different teams understand how to use the Evelyn Data Platform.
* Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand what they need from the Evelyn Data Platform.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform)
* Strong working knowledge of the Azure ecosystem (Azure storage account, APIM, Azure functions, VNet, CDN, monitor etc)
* Experience building CI/CD pipelines as code (Preferably GitHub Actions, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy)
* Strong focus on testability of all code deployed
* Knowledge of Azure serverless offerings
* Ability to communicate with non-technical colleagues at all levels of the organisation with confidence and with clarity.
* Business Analysis skills to derive requirements from business stakeholders
Nice to have
* Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript
* Experience with Modern C# .NET development would be beneficial
