Job summary As a Respiratory Physiotherapist you will provide a comprehensive physiotherapy service to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions. This will include complex, multi-pathologies from paediatrics, medical, surgical wards, critical care and the Emergency Department. You will also be responsible for the training of band 5 staff to work oncall. You will build on existing physiotherapy skills and consolidate specialist skills in respiratory physiotherapy required to manage these patient groups. Main duties of the job To hold responsibility for own caseload and oversee team caseload, working without direct supervision. Supervision will take the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions and one to one sessions with supervisor. Access to advice and support from senior respiratory physiotherapists is available when required, but clinical work is not routinely evaluated.
