About the role Sense Scotland's Learning Hub is a new post-school education based within the Kinning Park area of Glasgow. This specialist cutting-edge service within a friendly and supportive environment is aimed at young people aged 18 - 21 who have left or are leaving school with complex additional support needs. The Hub has been developed around the core idea of enabling young people to continue to learn and engage in their learning journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people by helping them identify and achieve their education goals. Reporting to the Learner Support Lead, you will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of staff to support and meet individuals' needs and expectations. You will support learners directly with all aspects of their daily care needs as laid out in their support plans. As part of the team, you will support with communication support needs and/or physical/learning disability, health care needs and all aspects of personal care. You will also support them in engaging with learning opportunities as part of their individual learning plan. About you We are looking for individuals who are sensitive to people s needs and proactive in supporting people to lead active lives. You will have a good understanding of the need to support people to stay healthy and safe, while being comfortable at managing risk accordingly.
