What is the role As a Senior Retoucher you will provide highly polished campaign images, ensureing that product is reproduced as true to form and to the highest quality possible. You will also support the post production lead allocating tasks and the delivery of work that comes into the post-production team, you will work directly on images and coordinate with our 3rd party suppliers. You will have a clear understanding of the wider business production commitments and planned workload. Build relationships with the functional leads from the studio teams to manage the creative photography workflow and ensure deadline attainment for all deliverables. You are an experienced senior level retoucher able to provide an expert level of post-production support in delivery of industry leading brand and product photography, you will mentor and develop middle and junior weight members of the team. What you will do Work closely with the senior team to proactively deliver consistent post-production output for all business requirements including ecommerce product photography and creative projects for campaign. Lead on retouching for creative projects through all phases of the production cycle. Be a hand on senior level retoucher able to execute expert levels of techchical and creative techciques. Work hand in glove with creative team and photographers on edit specifications. Work collaboratively with team to ensure colour grading in consistent and in line with brief. Undertake complex postproduction tasks including high end skin and product amendments Support postproduction lead in the delivery of targets and department goals, deputising as required. Monitor consistency of colour correction across image collections ensuring final assets are true and accurately represent the product. Maintain the digital asset library and the integrity of folder structures, particually for creative projects. Check that digital assets adhere to asset naming conventions. Ensure that campaign and product photography are consistent across mixed images collections. Raise any concerns with post-production team lead if images are not compliant with style guide or creative briefs. Provide feedback on operational processes and workflows make recommendations for improvement. Safeguarding compliancy when working with 3rd party suppliers, certifying processes are aligned to in-house studio and adhered to stands set out in the style guide. Develop new talent, ensuring the team is upskilled to the business needs and recognising gaps in skillset. Create, develop and maintain effective working relationships and communications with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver industry leading content for product and brand imagery. Apply a range of CGI special effects and advise on limitations and image constraints. Safeguarding compliancy when working with 3rd party suppliers, certifying processes are aligned to in-house studio and adhered to stands set out in the style guide or brief. Develop new talent, ensuring the team is upskilled to the business needs and recognising gaps in skillset. Create, develop, and maintain effective working relationships and communications with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver industry leading content for product and brand imagery. Contribute to seasonal studio style guide reviews. Work with styling and photography team to ensure that style guide ambition is practical and achievable for team capability and capacity levels. Create training material to ensure standards from a post-production perspective. What you will bring Bachelor’s degree in a photographic subject. Technical expertise of retouching: creative studio and location imagery, advanced understanding of skin treatment, ecommerce imagery. Deep understanding of image contrarians. Experience in the studio and production industry with a breadth of understanding of post-production processes. Highly organised with ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload. Expertise gained from both inhouse or agency studios experience. Understanding of industry practice. Awareness of current and emerging retouching trends. An interest in current and emerging fashion trends. Experience in training and developing talent. Experience of managing teams and providing motivational leadership. Experience of running 1- 1s, development plans andidentifying training programmes. Calm under pressure. Operational and tactical thinking with the ability to dynamically assess ever changing situations and make informed decisions and recommendations. Experienced senior within a creative function. Ideally have existing relationships with post-production suppliers and partners. Knowledge of studio, production and creative disciplines. Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Mac literate, with expert levels in adobe photoshoot and working knowledge of capture one pro, Microsoft Excel and Word Skills.
