This post will manage a vibrant community café providing a relaxed, welcoming, and inclusive space for customers. This role will focus on two functions; managing customer facing operations through management of staff, creating a positive customer experience and the day to running of service; and the management of back-office functions such as managing rotas, payment of suppliers, planning maintenance of equipment, and the building’s health and safety.
The Café General Manager will be responsible for the qualitative and financial delivery of the catering services under their control and will provide senior Groundwork South management with oversight on the operational and financial performance of each café operation on an ongoing basis with a focus on continuous improvement across all KPI metrics.
We are looking for someone with experience in catering and Food Hygiene practices with excellent motivation skills, that thrives on inspiring others and develops their strengths. As a leader we want someone who brings out the best in our staff supporting them to provide outstanding customer service. It will be important for the successful candidate to be able to evidence positive critical thinking skills, quickly finding solutions to overcome obstacles to service under pressure.
As we are located remotely in Hastings Country Park, a Full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
