SUMMARY
The Vice President of Information Systems is responsible for identifying, planning, directing, and managing the ongoing needs of Sartori’s information systems and processes. This role develops the company’s multi-year strategies in business applications, security, infrastructure, systems management, and related technologies. Additionally, this position develops strategies and aligns resources to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions across a variety of technologies including data and analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Smart Factory. The Vice President of Information Systems collaborates with stakeholders across the business to create alignment around the Sartori’s technology strategy and ensures excellence in the execution of the strategy and the daily needs of the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Provides strategic direction for Information Systems (IS) and is responsible for the execution of IS projects and support, including networking, programming, configuration, and integration of systems and data.
* Drives organizational effectiveness and efficiency by developing, defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies. This includes the Information Technology (IT) roadmap, the Security Roadmap, and the Business Systems (BS) Roadmap.
* Collaborates with all departments to develop multi-year IS roadmaps that drive enterprise value.
* Develops an understanding of Sartori Company's business processes and industry best practices to form the necessary partnerships to enable technology for the optimization of business results.
* Establishes and enforces technology standards, best practices, and procedures.
* Ensures that IS remains knowledgeable on industry developments and trends, incorporating their knowledge into the IS Roadmap and strategic planning efforts to optimize business and IT processes. Identifies emerging technologies to be analyzed, assimilated, and integrated. Maintains a broad understanding of the current technology landscape including, but not limited to, infrastructure, security, cloud, application development, mobile, and manufacturing systems such as Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
* Develops enterprise strategies for Smart Factory / Internet of Things (IoT), Data and Analytics, and AI.
* Serves as a key decision maker on large and complex systems designs and implementations.
* Retains the ultimate accountability for the security of data, network access, and backup systems and the effectiveness of the IT disaster recovery plan and incident response plan. Develops security policies, procedures, and strategies. Identifies, assesses, and prioritizes cyber security risks and corresponding mitigation plans. Designs secure network and application architecture. Implements cybersecurity best practices.
* Oversees the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications, card access, security and surveillance systems, and peripherals.
* Develops, evaluates, recommends, and oversees the development of cost-effective technical solutions to deliver business value through technology while maximizing return on investment while minimizing hardware and software costs.
* Identifies the optimal internal/external resources to complete projects while managing costs. Works with third-party party providers to properly scope and contract services/software. Negotiates and approves contracts in partnership with Procurement.
* Oversees staffing, staff augmentation, contractors, vendor relationships, contracts, and departmental budgets. Ensures that the internal team and third-party consultants are delivering the required solutions within the expected costs and timeframes. Ensures effective utilization of departmental resources.
* Oversees the Product Data Management function. This includes driving enhancements to master data management, improving the cross-functional processes to update master data, and ensuring that master data is updated timely.
* Implements and maintains infrastructure that supports current needs and optimizes costs while preparing for future growth.
* Leads, champions, and/or supports change management and communication planning for organizational initiatives.
* Systematically identifies, assesses, prioritizes, and minimize risks with potential to impact the organization’s operations, strategies, and objectives. Proactively manages potential threats, responds effectively to crises, and drives organizational resilience.
DIRECT REPORTS
* Directly leads 2 functional leaders encompassing a team of approximately 15-20 indirect reports.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related field or the equivalent in education combined with work experience is required. Master’s in Business Administration preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in Information Systems, including prior experience leading leaders required.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Systems in a manufacturing environment, including managing the implementation of significant software systems, required.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology operations in a manufacturing environment, including networking and security, required.
* Minimum 5 years of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and business application leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.
* Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise applications such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Human Resources Information System (HRIS), or Directory Services required.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in data and analytics and/or smart factory as well as cybersecurity in a manufacturing environment preferred.

* A solid understanding of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Center of Internet Security (CIS), and other cyber security frameworks required. Security related certifications preferred.
* Knowledge of both traditional and cloud-based infrastructure solutions (Azure) required.
