Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Role Overview The Electrical Quantity Surveyor will oversee the financial management of commercial CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects. This role involves ensuring project costs are controlled efficiently while delivering high-quality electrical systems in line with client expectations. The position requires expertise in cost estimation, contract negotiation, and project profitability.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for electrical works specific to CAT A and CAT B office fit-outs.
Conduct detailed measurement and valuation of electrical installations as per project requirements.
Negotiate contracts, variations, and pricing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Manage project cash flows, valuations, and ensure timely invoicing.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence, and project documentation.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure compliance with financial and contractual obligations.
Provide regular reports on project performance, risks, and profitability.
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards during project execution.
Assist in resolving disputes or contractual issues efficiently.
Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on electrical works for commercial office fit-outs.
Strong understanding of CAT A and CAT B specifications and requirements.
In-depth knowledge of cost management and contract law principles.
Proficiency in relevant software, such as CostX, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Desirable Attributes Familiarity with the latest trends and standards in office fit-out projects.
Membership in RICS or a similar professional body.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
