We are searching for a Project Manager to join our Bristol Project Management team. Based in the heart of Bristol, we are a key hub for the business and a longstanding partner to clients in the local area. Joining our Bristol office as a Project Manager is an excellent opportunity for you to gain significant exposure to a wide range of projects, clients and sectors, along with support and guidance from an established and experienced team of project managers, who will provide the training, challenges and work to help you progress and develop your career.
As Project Manager, you will be supporting with and delivering a diverse range of projects in different sectors with values from £1m to £100m+ for education, industrial & commercial, healthcare, local & central government clients in Bristol & surrounding areas.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Supporting Project Management Directors in delivering business objectives
* Positively engaging with customers and developing, growing and maintaining customer relationships
* Delivering high quality project management services ensuring they meet our Customer’s requirements.
* Managing projects and/or programmes to deliver high quality services in accordance with the business procedures
* Administering contracts as a contract administrator, employer’s agent or project manager.
* Producing and presenting to customers
* Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the business units activities
* Managing service delivery for profit.
* Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
* Sound project management and/or programme management experience post qualification in the built environment.
* Experience in the Education, Central Government, Industrial/manufacturing, Local Authority sectors beneficial.
* Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques
* Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent and/or Project Manager. NEC/JCT experience beneficial.
* Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
* Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
* Ability to lead meetings and manage outputs, tasks.
* Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
* Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
* Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
* Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Experience in use of planning programme tools (MSP/Asta).
* Ability to manage teams both internal and external.
Qualifications
* Degree related to the built environment.
Chartership (or working towards)
* MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or
* MAPM (Member of the Association of Project Managers) or
* MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders)
* MICE (Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers)
