We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our team working from our South London office based in Erith, Kent. To compliment our existing engineers servicing large residential developments and high end domestic properties. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of fire protection systems on our expanding portfolio. You will be responsible for the planned servicing of various fire alarm & AOV's systems, the associated equipment and advise on any faults and be confident in carrying out recommended remedial works in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance testing and inspection of fire alarm & AOV systems and provide detailed reports that our office team and clients can understand via our engineer cloud based software package
- Conduct site surveys to assess fire hazards and determine appropriate system requirements and advise on recommended remedial works in accordance with current regulations
- Confidently be able to install, test, and maintain fire alarm & AOV systems
- Perform inspections and troubleshoot system issues
- Provide technical support to clients and assist with system training as needed
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fire protection systems
- Ability to navigate various fire alarm panels, read and interpret schematics, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for system installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to fire protection equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
- There will be a 3 month probation period, on completion you will be expected to join our out of hours call out rota currently 1 in 10 weeks
