PRODUCTION PLANNER

The Production Planner is responsible for supporting the Production and Projects Teams with materials and works order planning, to keep production operations flowing to ensure agreed delivery dates are met.
For this role it is essential that you have experience in project/production planning within an engineering environment.
Experience of manufacturing/production shop floor operations involving CNCs, structural, piping, machinery and/or electrical and instrumentation fabrication, assembly and test would be advantageous.
You will have strong analytical and reporting capabilities and excellent IT skills (Ms Excel and Project). Experience of working in a challenging, fast-paced, technical production environment with simultaneous operations, priorities, and different personalities is essential.
Main Duties:
* Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly production schedules.
* Receiving transmittal notes and creating appropriate works orders including printing drawings as required.
* Regularly updating the Project and Spares and Repairs task boards with production comments.
* Coordinating the delivery and collection of sub-contracted components.
* Assisting the Spares and Repairs After Sales Co-ordinator with item packing.
* Supporting with planning of manufacturing activities across production for the timely execution of projects by assisting the Production Managers and Machine Shop Team Leader with updating work plans e.g. weekly, fortnightly, monthly as appropriate.
* Assisting with NCRs and DCRs within production teams.
Candidates will need to have good communication, verbal, and written skills, along with being organised and having an eye for detail.
You will have the ability to quickly establish and where appropriate, further develop effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a team player who is self-motivated with a desire to set high standards of work performance for themselves.
