Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Product Owner - Chassis Motion Control Systems to be based at our office in Warwick. Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery. The Role: Accountable for a Motion System Technology Delivery Squad, delivering to multiple programmes, the Product Owner will set up & run the Programme Scrum / Groups to ensure up front input from all relevant areas. This is a key customer interfacing role, with accountability for multiple projects with the customer, on both existing and new product lines where you will provide leadership and technical proficiency in your area. You will ensure back log tasks are tracked and completed and utilise Jira to plan tasks for the team, You will present your teams successes in 2 weekly Sprint Showcases to customer PGL/ TGL level Managers, along with representing the Squad in Market Days, Retrospectives and Big Room Planning Events. Area of Responsibility Own vision for the scope covered by the Scrum Determine priorities to be delivered by the team Align with key stakeholders and customers regularly Represent the team and the technology in multiple forums, showcases and retrospectives, ensuring status and actions are clearly communicated, escalated appropriately. All dependencies and issues are captured and progressed using the appropriate Jira or similar toolset. Escalate obstacles to for Project and Group Leads as required. Support Project Leads in preparing QBR (esp. writing QBR Memo) Discuss Squad burndown charts with SM and AC Provide timely feedback to Squad and Scrum members Review needed skillset in the Squad with both Project and Technical Leads Participate in POTLAC (Product Owner/Team Leader/Agile Coach) discussions and reviews Make prioritisation decisions where there are conflicts Knowledge / Experience You will need to be an exceptional project leader, with experience of engineering team management, experience of product design perhaps involving complex systems integration or the use of multiple technologies. You will need experience in the Motion Systems domain, specifically complex vehicle dynamic control systems or similar safety critical systems and subject matter. You will also need experience of financial planning, engineering development and virtual product creation using a variety of computer aided solutions. You will be degree educated, with Product Owner experience in a similar field, with significant equivalent experience or qualifications. You will be highly proficient with a strong working background in Jira toolsets, including but not limited to Confluence and Lucid, Scrum Master experience would be highly desirable for this specific role. Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues as they arise. Knowledge of change control, product definition and change management processes will also prove invaluable. Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector Competent in issue resolution methodology and application e.g. 8D, Fishbone.
