Kitchen Assistant Hours: 24 hours (Must be able to work alternate weekends) Location: Isle Court Nursing Home, Bicton, Shrewsbury, SY3 8LH Our team at Isle Court are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to assist with delivering quality meals to our residents in the care home. This is a perfect opportunity to gain some experience within the kitchen or perhaps the development of a new career in catering. You will be helping to ensure that our residents dietary requirements are met. Responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant: As a Kitchen Assistant; you will be taking an active role in supporting the Chef with the preparation and delivery of meals for residents. As well as preparing fresh ingredients for various meals, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen area that adheres to both Health and Safety regulations and the exemplary standards of the home. Responsibilities: Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen environment Cleaning all crockery, cutlery and food preparation equipment Assist in preparation of meals for service Prepare food and ingredients for service. Desirable Skills and Experience of the Kitchen Assistant We provide support for your role as Kitchen Assistant from our friendly team. Previous experience within a health care setting is not essential; however, may prepare you better for the role.
