The role: We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Senior Design Manager to build and lead our in-house design function. This role will transition Corndel from external design reliance to a streamlined and high-performing in-house studio. Reporting to the B2C marketing director, the role requires a multidisciplinary Designer who can produce high-quality assets, manage brand consistency, and build the infrastructure needed for scalability. The Senior Design Manager will have the opportunity to shape Corndel’s design processes, establishing tools and templates for self-service within the marketing team. You will scope and resource how Corndel provides market leading design work, including recruiting your team as needed. Responsibilities include: Leading the transition of Corndel’s design capabilities from external providers to an efficient in-house design function. Establishing scalable processes and governance including templates (e.g., Canva, email) for self-service updates by the marketing team. including templates (e.g., Canva, email) for self-service updates by the marketing team. Shaping our visual brand identity and creating and maintaining our brand book. Be the ambassador for strong, on-brand and effective design. Enable and train the Marketing team and other stakeholders in understanding what great design looks like here Delivering high-quality, engaging assets for both B2B and B2C audiences. You will be responsible for setting the direction for our highest value assets and the production of our most important work including: Product collateral: Designing inspiring product collateral for all of Corndel’s audiences Website design: Enhancing UX/UI ensuring accessibility best practices are adhered to Campaign assets: Producing digital advertising assets for performance and brand marketing (paid media, LinkedIn campaigns, direct response emails to prospective learners). Content: Designing reports, case studies, infographics and new visuals for new content needs. Email design: Creating headers, layouts, and templates for scalable use. Event collateral: Creating flyers, print artwork for physical banners, and other materials. Ensuring brand consistency across all visual assets and creating/updating brand guidelines as needed. Using data insights and analytics to optimise engagement, create user-focused designs, and enhance design process efficiency to deliver more effective and timely marketing assets: Performance optimisation: Using data (e.g., A/B testing, analytics) to refine and improve designs for better engagement, conversion rates, and overall effectiveness of marketing assets. User-centric design: Leveraging user feedback and behavioural data (e.g., heatmaps, user testing) to ensure designs meet user needs and preferences, driving higher engagement and satisfaction. Design process efficiency: Identify inefficiencies in the design workflow, streamline processes, and optimise turnaround times, potentially incorporating AI tools for automation and enhanced productivity such as client co-branded assets. Collaborating with marketing and other stakeholders to deliver impactful design solutions that meet business objectives. Managing and mentoring a Graphic Designer, fostering a collaborative and creative team environment. About you: You are a highly skilled multidisciplinary Designer with a strong understanding of both creative execution and strategic planning. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects, and have a passion for creating designs that drive engagement and conversion. Experience and skills Essential Proven experience as a standalone Senior Graphic Designer transitioning a company from external to in-house design capabilities. A strong portfolio showcasing multidisciplinary design skills across B2B and B2C, including digital brand and performance marketing campaigns. Experience designing websites, event collateral, product materials, and campaign assets. Understanding of UX best practices and latest accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2.) Proficiency in design tools e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, collaborative workflows e.g. Figma or Sketch and AI-powered design tools. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Ability to use data and performance metrics to drive design decisions and optimise marketing assets. A passion and drive to experiment with new technologies to improve all things design. The creative vision to translate complex information into simple intuitive designs Desirable Experience managing or mentoring other Designers. Knowledge of branding for fast-growing organisations. Experience with HubSpot email design and content platforms such as Foleon. Video editing would be an advantage for ad-hoc projects. Why join Corndel?
