Job Title: Project Development Officer
Location: Croydon - Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
Hourly rate: £22.55 PAYE / £29.82 umbrella per hour
Contract Length: 6-month assignment (possibility of extension)
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 36 hours

Role Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Development Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will lead on allocated project work, service development, ICT development, and research. You will play a crucial role in the strategic planning and continuous improvement of our Responsive Repairs Service, ensuring it is customer-focused, cost-effective, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage key projects, including the London Re-use project and Mutual exchange process review.
2. Support the Head of Repairs and Maintenance and Project Development Manager in strategic planning and service delivery.
3. Develop and implement innovative service delivery methods and review new policies and procedures.
4. Manage project teams and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
5. Conduct data analysis and develop action plans to improve service efficiency and reduce costs.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and contribute to the council's diversity and green commitment policies.
Key Contacts:
1. Residents (tenants and leaseholders)
2. External service providers and government bodies
3. Internal departments such as Finance, IT, and Tenancy
Financial Dimensions:
Demonstrate sound financial management and identify areas for cost savings and performance improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Knowledge of property repairs or the construction industry.
2. Experience in project management, policy development, and strategic planning.
3. Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with CRM systems like SharePoint and MS Dynamics.
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to present information effectively.
5. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
6. NEC expert in managing change and business processes aligned to systems (Desirable)
