An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Mental Health Nurseto join the Berkshire CAMHS Anxiety Disorders Treatment Team (ADTT).
BHFT CAMHS ADTT membersare passionate about using individualised and formulation-led evidence-based approaches to help children, youngpeopleand families. We provide specialist assessments and treatment for children and young people suffering with anxiety disorders, OCD and Tic Disorders across Berkshire. The ADTT team prides itself on our inclusive practice, particularly our work with neurodivergent families. Our team has good research links and is pleased to offer training placements to Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Trainee CBT Therapists and Specialist Psychiatry registrars. As well as a culture of adult learning, we also have a compassionate ethos within the team which permeates throughout ourwork,and which is remarked upon by all clinicians who work with us.
The post holder willprovide short-term intervention,ongoing patient reviewsandmulti-agency consultationandliaison.The post holder will contributeto and chair meetings to enhance collaborative working and promote positive outcomes. Developing knowledge of local agencies and building relationships to enhance patient care is crucial. Collaboration with other CAMHS Teams to meet the needs of young people isessential.
Weare able tobe flexible with this role and are open to considering either full or part time hours for the right candidate.
• The post holderwill also undertake shift lead duties, coordinatethe shift, andhaveoversight of incoming referrals, and delegatetasks.
• The post holder will be expected to conduct reviews, careplanningand provide group and individual treatment.
• The post holder will offer support and risk management for young people awaiting treatment, perform comprehensive assessment including mental state, risk, and psychosocial factors, and developappropriate careor safety plans as well as being able to devise a clinical formulation from assessment.
• The post holder will also undertake shift lead duties, coordinate the shift, and have oversight of incoming referrals, and delegate tasks.
• The post holder willprovide short-term intervention,ongoing patient reviewsandmulti-agency consultationandliaison.
• The post holder will contributeto and chair meetings to enhance collaborative working and promote positive outcomes
• The post holder will provide support to young people and families who are waiting for treatment to start.
• The post holder will collaborate with multidisciplinary team clinicians and multi-agency representatives to ensure the delivery of integrated and holistic client care.
• The post holder will actively engage in the quality improvement and service development of CAMHS services.

The “must haves” for this role:
• Registered Nurse – Mental Health with an up-to-date registration and validation with the NMC.
• Minimum of 12 months post qualification as a Band 5 nurse and completed preceptorship.
• Experience of working with children and adolescents.
• Experience and interest of working in diverse community groups and with individuals who may have emerging complex needs dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities and neurodiversity.
• Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams / multi-agency environment.
