Contracts Manager (Passive Fire Protection)
Company Overview:
We are a growing fire protection business seeking a Contracts Manager for an immediate start. The company offers a range of passive fire protection services such as Fire Stopping – surveying and installation, Fire and Smoke Damper – inspection/testing and installation, and Fire Door – inspection to businesses across the UK. Due to recent growth, we are looking for a new Contracts Manager to join the team.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Contracts Manager will join us with industry-related knowledge and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related Contracts Manager role. They will be confident and motivated, with a hands-on approach. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Commencement to end of project and cost management, from initial brief to sign off.
* Estimating for and overseeing the installation of various passive fire protection products.
* Programming projects and ensuring they are carried out to a high level of detail, following all manufacturer guidelines in the process.
* Liaising with site management teams to ensure that all involved are aware of the company work processes.
* Attending sites to gain a better knowledge of the works required, to assist with quotations.
* Attending weekly review meetings to discuss project progress and ensure deadlines are being met.
* Producing relevant RAMS, CPP, and H&S documentation, ensuring adherence for timely management of company employees to meet project requirements.
* Uploading new clients' drawings to the company's Bolster Systems and ensuring completion prior to each project start date.
* Overall business development; introductions and client proposals.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager role.
* Extensive experience in passive fire protection with Healthcare and Educational facilities.
* Comprehensive knowledge of fire stopping procedures and products with minimum NVQ3 in passive fire protection.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal.
* Confident individual, capable of managing issues on sites.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
* Experience using Bolster Systems both on site and within the office environment.
* Full, valid UK driving licence with the willingness and flexibility to travel to sites across the UK.
* In date SMSTS and CSCS tickets.
* Current enhanced DBS.
