The International Digital Marketing Manager will be part of the LAC & Digital team, an innovative marketing team aimed at supporting the enterprise-wide coverage expansion initiative and fuelling merchant acquisition efforts across prioritised international markets as part of the Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS). This Manager will be responsible for driving international coverage goals through Digital Marketing ATL, with the objective of driving awareness and consideration amongst small business owners of the benefits of Amex acceptance. The aim is to use above the line marketing tactics, as well as digital, to shift the perceptions regarding the barriers to Amex acceptance, encouraging new merchant sign ups, or activations, either through proprietary or partner-led acquisition channels. 2025 is year 3 of this new strategy for GMS International, with the team now focused on evolving the approach leveraging the rich learnings from campaigns delivered on previous years as well as establishing ourselves as a Digital COE team for International GMNS marketing teams. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who feel comfortable with ambiguity and are willing to test and learn and help defining what winning looks like. How will you make an impact in this role? Responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Also they do preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure. Digital Marketing Campaigns: - Deliver and manage comprehensive digital marketing campaigns that achieve positive KPI growth across awareness & consideration objectives, successfully shifting perceptions of Amex acceptance to drive coverage and welcomed acceptance across multiple markets. - Leverage previous learnings, local market ATL insights and local GMS 2024 priorities to evolve the strategy across 3 key campaign elements: - Media Strategy: - Optimise the channel mix considering all key dynamics such as; geographical targeting, digital vs. non-digital channels, optimal awareness vs. consideration spend balance, reach vs. frequency and campaign duration. - Drive media innovations to reach our target audience, leveraging agency expertise and internal insights. - Ensure media plans are aligned with overall presence in the market and following brand safety guidelines. - Creatives & User Journey: - Develop compelling creatives and messaging that support the broadened objective of partner-led & proprietary acquisition, and existing merchant halo, ensuring alignment with local market messaging and local GMS priorities. - Take ownership for launching activity in targeted geography/ies, ensuring activity is compliant, in line with Brand standards and flawlessly executed. - Optimise our digital journeys ensuring the UX is streamlined and compelling, providing a seamless experience with the campaign activity, having in mind the different types of audiences. - Partner with various internal tech teams to deliver optimisations, maintenance, and enhanced tracking for pages and campaigns. - Measurement: - Ensure measurement is a key focus and success metrics are defined, ensuring that channel and campaign set-ups provide sufficient tracking visibility. - Closely monitor performance and undertake thorough analysis to evaluate campaign/test successes. - Share key learnings across the digital and broader teams, and use insights to fuel further growth and strategy evolution. Stakeholder Management: - Partner and lead agencies (creative & media) to provide appropriate solutions to our target audience that will drive impact to our goals. - Partner closely across different teams/LOBs to keep stakeholders updated and to identify and progress opportunities. - Stakeholders include but are not limited to; GMS Sales & Marketing local teams, Internal Digital & Tech teams (EDDS, Merchant Interactive, Enterprise Platforms, SFMC, MerchantForce), Digital Acquisition teams across LOBs for best practice insights & activity alignment, various external media & creative agencies. People Leadership: - This person will manage a team of 1 to 2 digital marketing executives. - Actively support their development and career objectives, and prioritising their coaching. Minimum Qualifications - Experienced leader with proved people management skills. - A strong background in digital marketing with experience leading campaigns across multiple channels. - Ability to challenge the agencies to keep the focus in our objectives and audience and strive for excellence. - A strong customer-first mindset. - Proven ability to innovate through agency partners, creative teams and internal best practice examples, balancing an understanding of the company's competitive advantages and merchant needs. - Demonstrated success in building and leveraging strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from different cultures and proven ability to influence across functional areas, markets and external agency partners. - High Energy/Flexibility - Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a sense of urgency, positive attitude, curiosity and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure, dynamic environment. - Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to articulate complex/technical ideas simply. - First-rate problem-solving skills, with ability to find ways around obstacles and challenges with a positive attitude. - Demonstrated analytical skills and a track record of leveraging data to drive strategy and results. - Ability to efficiently prioritise, manage tight deadlines and multiple projects at once whilst maintaining an excellent attention to detail.
