This contractor is dedicated to measuring and reducing their carbon footprint, which includes selecting the most sustainable remediation options on projects as well as company-wide initiatives such as recycling.
About the opportunity:
As an Environmental Engineer, your core role will require you to conduct environmental assessments, develop and implement remediation plans in the field, and ensure regulatory compliance. As a market leader in the design and delivery of innovative sustainable remedial solutions, you will also be expected to contribute to the design and delivery of these types of solutions.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
1. Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I and II).
2. Manage remediation feasibility studies or trials.
3. Collect soil, groundwater, and vapour/gas samples for analysis.
4. Evaluate environmental data to identify contamination levels and risks.
5. Contribute to the planning and supervision of site remediation projects.
6. Undertake environmental impact monitoring.
7. Prepare and submit performance reports (including verification reports) and permit applications.
8. Analyse data and prepare technical reports.
9. Assist in the design and implementation of remediation systems.
My client is a fast-growing and dynamic business that will provide you with opportunities and structured support and training to grow your skills and knowledge in the remediation industry. Subject to your experience, you will be required to regularly visit active remediation/construction sites, sometimes spending time away from home. Other times, you will be expected to work closely with senior colleagues at the office in Bristol.
About the benefits and rewards:
For this opportunity, professionals can expect to earn anywhere between £30,000 - £38,000 per annum; however, specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, a generous benefits package will be offered, which includes an annual bonus scheme, 25 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays), a 5% employer pension contribution, the option to enrol in a healthcare benefits scheme, payment of professional membership fees, and support towards achieving professional qualifications.

About the requirements:
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be degree qualified in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related Civil Engineering course. Furthermore, you must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in the remediation industry and a valid CSCS and SSSTS card.
Lastly, due to project locations, you must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
