The role of an Electrical Supervisor is vital in managing and overseeing electrical projects and maintenance activities. This individual's responsibilities include leading a team of electricians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating with other departments to achieve project goals. To be an Electrical Supervisor, one must have a strong electrical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to solve complex electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of electricians.
2. Provide guidance and direction to team members for successful project execution.
3. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, safety measures, and address concerns.
4. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects within budget and timeline constraints.
5. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients.
6. Conduct safety training for team members and regularly inspect work sites for potential hazards.
7. Investigate and report any accidents or safety violations promptly.
8. Day-to-day monitoring of test certificates returned to the office.
9. Supervise and oversee small to medium-sized electrical contracts, including the management of day work jobs.
10. Arrange labour and materials to complete the project on time and within budget.
11. Carry out basic estimating and tendering duties, progressing onto larger projects as experience is gained.
About You:
1. Level 3 C&G Qualified
2. 2391 Qualified
3. Proven experience as an electrician or electrical supervisor in an Industrial Environment.
4. Full UK Driving License
5. Strong leadership and communication skills.
6. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components.
7. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
