The impact you can have We are looking for someone to be an integral part of Sonar’s legal team, helping ensure that our work gets done effectively and efficiently. We work collaboratively and cross-functionally, so you can expect to be responsible for a wide range of projects including negotiating legal agreements, resolving queries from customers and clients, and pitching in with maintaining our legal files and playbooks. This role is based in our Geneva, London, or Bochum offices. The exact title for the position will depend on the candidate, as we are open to a range of backgrounds and seniority levels. On a daily basis, you will Negotiate software (SaaS) license agreements and vendor agreements in support of our sales and purchasing teams. Advise on employment matters with support from outside counsel and our General Counsel, including performing legal research, preparing and updating employment-related templates and policies, and providing legal training and support for our people team. Collaborate within the legal team, as well as with members of our sales, purchasing, people, finance, and IT security teams. Tackle special projects that come our way, given that we are a fast-growing and innovative technology company. The skills you will demonstrate 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar legal position. Prior law firm and in-house experience with an international company is preferred. Legal qualification in the jurisdiction of the home office. Proven experience with negotiating software agreements and advising on employment laws. Bachelor's degree (ideally in law or a similar field). The ability to prioritize and juggle multiple work assignments at once. A start-up mentality, including a willingness to roll up your sleeves, clear blockers, think creatively, and support the business to drive projects to completion. Excellent English written/verbal communication skills. Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate occasional calls outside of your regular time zone. Working knowledge of Salesforce, LinkSquares, and/or ServiceNow is an asset.
