Role: Digital Marketing Assistant
Salary: £30,000 full time equivalent
Type: 6 months FTC, part time 2.5 days per week

The company integrates activities across a Research and Development Department responsible for innovating, an Engineering Department that delivers scaled iterations of bioreactors and bioprocess, and the Operations Department responsible for ensuring the company runs smoothly. What this role entails:
- Independently manage day-to-day digital marketing tasks without needing direct supervision.
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across multiple channels (website, LinkedIn, email marketing, etc.).
- Create and manage engaging content in alignment with brand guidelines.
- Optimise SEO performance to improve organic reach and website visibility.
- Set up and manage essential content production equipment (cameras, microphones, lighting etc.).
- Monitor and report key marketing metrics to assess performance and suggest improvements.
- Establish processes for scalable marketing operations, including brand templates, content calendars, and analytics tracking.
- Source and execute branded promotional materials.
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends and propose innovative strategies for growth.
- Support outreach efforts such as partnerships and community engagement initiatives.
Objectives
- Increase brand awareness through consistent and high-quality digital marketing campaigns.
- Drive organic traffic to digital platforms using SEO and content marketing strategies.
- Enhance engagement by producing compelling and relevant content.
- Improve marketing efficiency by setting up scalable processes and foundational assets.
- Optimise marketing performance through data-driven analysis and continuous improvements.
- Strengthen brand identity by ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines.
- Support business growth by leveraging partnerships, community engagement, and outreach efforts.
Selection criteria
1) Experience
- Prior experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creation.
- Experience with SEO, social media marketing, and digital advertising.
- Familiarity with content creation tools like Canva, InDesign, and Mailchimp (or similar).
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and performance-tracking tools.
- Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, or similar) for lead tracking and engagement.
- Understanding of video production essentials (lighting, cameras, audio).
- Prior experience in sourcing and executing branded promotional materials.
