Job Description: Technical Instructor at SPTS
The main responsibility of the technical instructor will be to train SPTS customer service engineers in installing and repairing SPTS transport systems. The instructor will analyze the knowledge requirements of the customer service engineers (CSEs) and develop structured training courses to meet these needs. Training will be provided to both SPTS engineers and customers, either at the SPTS training facility or at customer sites, requiring some international travel. The instructor will work closely with the SPTS engineering teams to develop training for new products. Additionally, the role involves partnering with the multimedia team to create online training courses and AR/VR applications. While the focus is on SPTS transport systems, cross-training and delivering training for other products may also be required.

Responsibilities:
1. Teach employees and customer service classes up to Level 4 on SPTS Transport Modules.
2. Use various instructional techniques to engage students, considering cultural sensitivities for a global audience.
3. Identify gaps in existing training methods and develop new Best Known Methods (BKMs) as needed.
4. Audit and mentor junior and guest instructors to improve instructional quality and curriculum standards.
5. Maintain and update curriculum, including Tech talks and other materials.
6. Develop courseware following Learning Knowledge Service (LKS) guidelines, including task lists, exams, practicals, homework, instructor guides, and student guides.
7. Collaborate with Technical Support to identify and address product Cost of Service (CoS) issues and improve curriculum beyond case studies.
8. Lead projects for developing New Product Introduction (NPI) curriculum, define requirements, establish timelines, and provide updates.
9. Manage document updates, including reviewing, editing, and formatting.
10. Perform regular preventative maintenance training using existing BKMs.
11. Identify tool health issues, propose plans of action, and work with Technical Support for recovery.
12. Standardize solutions and ensure proper knowledge capture.
13. Provide first-level support to field technicians and assist with Level 2 and Level 3 issues on-site as needed.
Qualifications:
* Degree (BA/BSc) or equivalent qualification.
* Experience with semiconductor vacuum equipment.
* Proficiency in instructional techniques and course design.
