Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preceptor Nurse to join our client's dynamic Multi-Disciplinary team. The role involves working collaboratively to maintain a safe and therapeutic care environment while exercising professional accountability in a changing and diverse setting. You will be supported to achieve the necessary post-qualification competencies within a 12-month framework.

Responsibilities:
* Deliver prescribed care to a specific group of clients/patients within an agreed framework.
* Plan and implement a structured approach to nursing care that respects patient choices and preferences.
* Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and evaluate progress.
* Monitor and review Nursing Care Plans regularly.
* Evaluate and respond to changes in patients' conditions and needs.
* Proactively manage suggestions and complaints from patients and their families/carers.
* Work collaboratively with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team to provide holistic patient care.
* Participate in both clinical and non-clinical meetings as required.
* Prioritise nursing duties and delegate tasks effectively within the shift co-ordination framework under the supervision of a Staff Nurse or Senior Staff Nurse.
* Maintain ongoing personal professional development in line with preceptorship and revalidation standards.
* Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
* Help to create and maintain an environment that meets the needs of patients, relatives, and carers.
* Engage in clinical supervision and reflective practice at least once a month.
* Work under the supervision of a Registered Mental Health Nurse, and take charge of the ward when agreed within supervision.
* Adhere to Safeguarding policies for adults and children.
* Comply with medicines management policies at all times.
* Ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
* Adhere to all relevant organisational policies, protocols, and the NMC Code.
Candidate Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin in either Learning Disabilities or Mental Health Nursing.
* Newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply and will be fully supported through a structured preceptorship programme.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A compassionate and patient-centred approach to care, with the ability to respond flexibly to changing needs.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and the ability to meet the requirements of preceptorship and revalidation.
* Basic IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
