Applications Engineer - PCB Manufacturing

As an Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the client-facing sales process, advising on the manufacturability of designs and suggesting improvements to enhance both efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
1. Develop new opportunities and provide exceptional support to the current customer base.
2. Collaborate with design authorities to ensure best practices for PCB fabrication are met and the information supplied is suitable for manufacturing processes.
3. Generate detailed technical reports.
4. Support internal technology reviews, contributing with insights on customer technology roadmaps and industry trends.
5. Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Process Engineering teams.
6. Establish and implement strategies to improve and raise awareness of customer issues across all relevant areas of the company.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of materials used in PCB fabrication.
2. Experience in PCB fabrication and/or design is desirable.
3. Logical thinking and reasoning skills.
4. Strong technical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
5. Proficient in problem-solving.
6. CAM experience in Engineering is an advantage.
7. Understanding of industry compliance (IPC standards).
8. Knowledge of materials used in PCB fabrication and their environmental impacts.
9. Good presentation skills.
