Lead Maintenance Engineer needed for a hands-on and leadership role in a production/factory environment in the Preston, Lancashire area. Candidates must come from a process or manufacturing background for a state-of-the-art production facility with an impeccable reputation and a friendly culture that promotes strong teamwork.

Lead Maintenance Engineer position details:
1. Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour DAYS ONLY
2. Salary: Up to £57k plus pension, holidays, and other perks
3. Extra training and career progression opportunities available
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up the shift
2. Lead engineers on shift
3. Ensure KPIs are met
4. Take lead on decision-making and problem-solving
5. Report to Engineering Director
6. Conduct reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery across the site and process plant
7. Work on project-related tasks
8. Be multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical (60/40 either way)
9. Help improve machinery and efficiency
10. Fault find on machinery and repair
11. Experience with pumps, motors, etc.
12. Minimize downtime
Requirements:
1. A formal engineering electrical or mechanical qualification to at least City & Guilds level 2, NVQ level 3, or equivalent with corresponding practical experience
2. Good working knowledge of automated systems/production machinery
3. Experience from a manufacturing background
4. Proven mechanical and electrical experience
This role is commutable from Preston, Manchester, Wigan, Southport, Blackburn, Eccleston, Kirkham, Ormskirk, and other parts of Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
