Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in small group or one:on:one settings, fostering a positive learning experience. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about education, patient, and committed to helping students overcome challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and resources.
* Provide individual and small group support to students across a range of subjects.
* Help to maintain a supportive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
* Work with students to build their confidence and help them achieve their academic goals.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
* Support students with special educational needs where necessary.
* Supervise classroom activities and ensure a positive classroom environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A passion for working with young people and an ability to build rapport with students.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
* A flexible and positive attitude.
* Basic knowledge of core subjects (English, Maths, Science).
* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification are advantageous.
