Overview
Procurement Heads are thrilled to have partnered with leading Housing organisation Orbit Group dedicated to delivering value for money and ensuring compliance with Public Contract Regulations. Managing £150 million in third part supplier arrangements annually, our client ensures competitive advantage and exceptional service for customers and taxpayers alike.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Procurement Specialist within the Capital Programmes Procurement team to partner with Procurement Business Partners for the delivery of Repairs and Capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support delivery of Procurement objectives and the 2030 Strategy.
2. Deliver sourcing initiatives covering the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle with experience of working with main suppliers both in the UK and globally.
3. Engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
4. Work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver a range of projects including complex large-scale projects as well as smaller projects.
5. Lead assigned sourcing initiatives, which vary in terms of scope and scale.
6. Conduct market tenders and manage the evaluation across a cross-functional team to determine supplier selection in accordance with Group Standing Orders and Public Procurement Policy.
7. Understand business requirements and structure deals to meet those requirements.
8. Negotiate deals to achieve optimal commercial terms.
9. Draft contracts based on standard terms and conditions.
10. Lead cross-functional deal teams and liaise with senior stakeholders.
11. Build relationships with key suppliers.
12. Adhere to corporate standards, including using defined sourcing tools and processes in delivery of sourcing initiatives.
13. Identify and implement opportunities to deliver savings for clients and drive benefits through smarter/efficient sourcing.
14. Consider lead times (including consultation requirements of section 20 Landlord & Tenant Act 1985) and monitor inventory levels.
15. Ensure compliance with the legislative framework.
16. Promote Social Value and ESG within the categories and wider business.
