Job Description: The Company represents one of the world's leading aircraft engine manufacturers as the exclusive service center for all engine operations located in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The service center is the single point of contact for after-sales support in the territory including repair and overhaul, engine fleet management, customer support and logistic support functions.
Purpose of Job: Coordinate the Logistics function to ensure the movement of engines and other material between CSC Europe GmbH customers and/or within CSC designated Network facilities is carried out in a timely, efficient and economical manner, while in compliance with RTX, P&WC, MTU, CSC and Governmental EMEA import/export regulations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Control:
o Ensure the timely and efficient movement of engines and other material on behalf of the CSC and their customers.
o Import engines into the EU for storage or onward shipment to EU customers.
o Arrange the transportation of engines to designated shops from locations within our trading territory.
o Track, Approve, Monitor and report all CSC engine movements to and from P&WC's network shops.
2. Improve Service Level: Support and training of key stakeholders on logistics process to improve service level with realistic times and commitments. Provide assistance in sales efforts to negotiate 'best price' for customers.
3. Supplier Management:
o Management of logistic suppliers, negotiation of prices, structure & implementation of effective methods of communication to reduce quotations time, optimize costs and ensure timely delivery/pick up.
o Monitor Freight Forwarder performance and costs to assure maximum value for money spent.
o Monitor supplier invoices to ensure accuracy and adherence to our service level requests.
4. Policies and Procedures:
o Maintain awareness of current Incoterms and Global Trade requirements.
o Ensure all exported goods are shipped in full compliance with RTX and EU export controls in place at the time of shipment.
o Keep current and fully fluent with all export restrictions in force.
o Ensure full compliance with all Dangerous Goods legislation and associated documentation.
o Keep current and ensure full compliance with EU Customs regulations.
5. Additional Requirements:
o Develop and maintain a process to allow customer engines to be collected from their facilities and shipped to designated shops (wing to wing).
o Maintain positive working relationships with all internal departments and attend meetings if requested.
o Conduct regular reviews on transport service providers to ensure the right price and service to support CSC logistics requirements.
o Perform special projects identified by your Manager.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline - engineering, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or economics; Master's degree preferred.
* Reporting & Continuous Improvement skills is highly recommended.
* Experience in functional areas such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Planning.
* Help to grow business by innovative contributions to existing and future strategic initiatives as well as the ability to deal constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes.
* Ability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation, and partnering.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German language skills will be a plus.
* Good communication skills, "Hand-On" mentality, and ability to work with different key stakeholders.
* Availability to travel during set-up period and after, occasionally visiting shops, offices, and warehouses.
* Availability to support AOG special cases during weekends.
