This role is paying £202.88 per day and you will be required to work full time Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
* Ensuring that plans are in place and continually updated to achieve Service objectives and priorities.
* Actively assist and take ownership for designated detailed project commercial reports and maintain up to date at all times.
* Ensure that all project related risks and issues are identified to the Council.
* Carry out the necessary professional duties to effectively manage and coordinate commercial and cost matters on designated projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Contribute and implement professional quantity surveying practice and procedures within Capital Programme Works Service.
* Assist the Principal Quantity Surveyor on the relationship management of key partners, suppliers and other core third parties, as applicable.
* Be active and responsible in compliance with Service procedures and professional practice development in Capital Programmes Projects to ensure the maintenance and improvement of knowledge and capabilities.
* Ensure that projects are procured in accordance with Council Standing Orders and OJEU Public Procurement requirements.
* Ensure projects are progressed with the necessary democratic reports in place.
* Accountable and responsible for complying with priorities and delivery plans.
* Responsible for designated projects for the day-to-day operation, management and reporting of service delivery in line with budgets, service plans, Council priorities and service procedures.
* Work with and be responsible to the Manager Capital Programme to effectively manage and communicate service plans, key objectives and targets to all members of the project team and the subsequent monitoring and reporting.
Applicant Requirement of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
* Construction/Property related degree or extensive experience.
* Must have a Driving licence and the use of a vehicle at all times.
* Experience of working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on both minor and major projects.
* Evidence of knowledge of professional Quantity Surveyor practice and methodology.
