Job summary
The role supports the Gastroenterology team to implement a new pathway for suitable patients to have a procedure, which is alternative to a traditional endoscopy. The role holder will be key in improving patient experience by providing support, information and reassurance to patients throughout their diagnostic pathways.
Main duties of the job
Patient Pathway Coordinator - Gastroenterology
We are looking for a person with excellent administrative and communication skills and a flexible approach to work. You should be a strong team player with the ability to work in a calm and methodical way whilst being able to multi-task in a busy environment.
You should be keen to develop new skills with a view to delivering excellent patient care. You will need to be able to prioritise a demanding workload, whilst retaining a positive outlook and a willingness to support your colleagues.

1. Good general education with GCSE or equivalent in English at grade C or above

2. ECDL
3. NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Care of equivalent

4. Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient administration systems
5. Experience of patient administration work in an NHS setting

6. Previous gastroenterology admin experience

7. Experience dealing with customer complaints and customer care

9. Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard
