Job title: Principal Engineer – HVAC & Chilled Water

Salary: Up to £ 60,000 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
* Carry out specialist technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical solutions
* Support the Technical Authority as the specialist point of contact/System Lead with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters
* Take ownership of scope within your role and make engineering decisions within your sphere of responsibility
* Carry out investigations into operational problems/emergent issues and develop and prepare solutions
* Support the commissioning, operations teams and other stakeholders with setting to work of HVAC and Chilled Water systems
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experience in functional design, integration and build of fluid systems
* Experience in Marine Engineering or similar highly regulated industry sector
Desirable:
* Experience in Chilled Water and HVAC Systems
* Knowledge and experience of shipbuilding, operations processes and modern build strategies
* Experience in requirements and acceptance
* Experience in Naval Ships

The T26 HVAC and Chilled Water Design/Delivery Team:
As Principal HVAC & Chilled Water Engineer, you will be working within the Marine engineering design / delivery team as a system lead in an exciting phase of the project. This is a great opportunity to join the team and play a key role in delivering the first of class HMS Glasgow as we approach the setting to work and commissioning stage. Furthermore, you will be involved with the development of the design for future ships in the T26 class, which could also lead to further opportunities to work on our export programs for years to come.
