DESCRIPTION
As our Lead QA Tester at BULKHEAD, you will be instrumental in reporting on build health, leading a team of testers to identify, report and regress issues within the game. You will represent the QA team in all relevant endeavours, be the point of communication both in and our of the department, and be responsible for regular updates to the leadership team.
We operate an embedded QA team, where every member is expected to work closely with our developers to facilitate an efficient communication loop. You will be expected to talk to the developers of features on a regular basis, keep up to do date with changes they are making, and work with the team to devise ways of testing those changes. You’ll also be responsible for then feeding information back to the team, not just via logged bugs our database, but via consistent dialogue around what has or hasn’t been seen.

// RESPONSIBILITIES
-Devise test plans for the team to run through
-Find and report issues in a clear and accurate manner via our bug tracking database.
-Creation and maintenance of documentation to ensure best testing practices are in place.
-Report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
-Establish and drive an acceptable level of output based on the needs of the game team.
-Mentor more junior members of the team to improve their skills.
-Hold the team and yourself accountable to the teams goals
// REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-3+ years’ experience in a Senior QA role in the games industry.
-Experience of managing multiple testers of various levels
-A passion for FPS games.
-Strong organisational skills.
-Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise guidance to teams.
-Proactive mindset, able to identify risks, unknowns, and opportunities for improvement, and take appropriate actions.
-Accustomed to driving ownership and accountability
