Job summary A fantastic opportunity has become available to join our Dispensing team here at the Wem and Prees Medical Practice. Working week days only. If you are a qualified Dispenser then we would like to hear from you. Based in our Medical Practice in Prees you will be working full time 36 hours per week, please note you will not be required to work evenings or weekends. Your role will be to provide a quick efficient service to our patients, ensuring accurate dispensing of medication and to assist the dispensary manager in insuring effective financial control of the dispensary. Main duties of the job This position requires high levels of attention to detail as the role includes being responsible for ensuring the correct medication is handed out to the correct patient whilst respecting patientconfidentiality at all times. Open any required portals, emails, docman, drug tafiff, etc. Record the fridge temperature on the computer and reset the thermometer. Cashing up - (Must be completed daily). Put away the all the orders and check invoices for discrepancies. Claim if necessary. Deal with any notes or queries in the task folder on Emis Check dispensary email and complete any mail. Print the dispensing queue by mid-morning and put a note on the Duty DRs screen when they are placed on reception and are waiting to be sign. Print the dispensing queue often Keeping the workflow going and allowing the stock to be ordered in. Check any dispensed prescriptions. Text patients Place dispensed prescriptions in the boxes on the shelves or owing shelf or delivery box. Restock the bottles, boxes, labels, paper for printer and bags when required. On all part owing prescriptions, always keep original script with owing label. Write on owing label the remaining quantity. Endorse prescriptions when required while dispensing and checking. Count prescriptions and quantity of items on the prescriptions. Making sure the correct figure is in the bottom left box. Please make sure that items that have more than one charge have been added up correctly. E.g., Stockings are per stocking so 2 boxes of stockings would be 4 prescription charges. Any drug returns need to be returned on the same day or as soon as possible (No later than three days). Filling in the correct documentation depending on supplier. Attend the counter when there is a patient or if asked to help with a queue. CD requisition forms to be filled in when ordering a CD. CD requisition to be photocopied once they have been signed. Booking in CD stock please write the supplier and invoice number. Before writing the quantity, please check the stock levels and then calculate the amount. Once finished booking in the CDs then please lock and remove the CD key. Label any picked medication. Add all order details to relevant spreadsheets.
