Assessor & Lecturer in Accounting
Full-time 37 hours per week
Location: Stafford College
Salary: £23,122 - £33,311 plus a £5,000 annual salary supplement for qualified candidates.
A 5% annual bonus scheme is also in operation.

We are looking for suitably qualified individuals to join our pro-active, dynamic and friendly team of lecturers & Assessors. The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality training & assessment. You will assess our clients/apprentices in their place of work, develop knowledge with face to face classroom teaching, plus develop and maintain relationships with our local employers.
You will need access to your own suitable transport to be able to visit clients across the Staffordshire region.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To develop, maintain and account manage relationships with local employers, including the development of Higher Apprentices.
2. To deliver high quality apprenticeships by carrying out workplace assessment and delivering underpinning knowledge with a bias to accounting at level 2-4.
3. To provide ongoing training and assessment so learners are fully prepared for their End Point assessment.
4. To take an active part in the recruitment of new apprentices through contact with local employers – managing key accounts, schools/colleges and through events.
5. To complete all required information under the projects to include Initial Assessment and Individual Learning Plan.
6. To ensure that all beneficiaries receive an initial and diagnostic assessment and skills scan through identifying recognised prior learning.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Holds a relevant accounting qualification, AAT level 4, degree or other relevant qualification.
2. To hold appropriate Assessor and / or Teaching qualifications is desirable but not essential.
3. Experience of assessing relevant accounting standards or frameworks is highly desirable but not essential.
4. Has relevant industrial experience within the accounting sector.
5. Is an effective communicator, able to deal successfully with all levels of management, apprentices, tutors and employers.
6. Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
