Circa £30,000 – depending on skills and experience Cambridge, CB4 Permanent 4 on, 4 off shift work (12 hour shifts), Are you an organised, proactive and self-motivated individual? If so, this could be the right position for you We are looking to recruit a Traffic Controller on days to plan and control our LGV resources & equipment supplied both internally and externally. This role is essential to ensure we respond to routine and non-routine/emergency tankering, jetting and sludge bulk/skip haulage requirements to our customers. Your role will involve: Scheduling weekly work load for routine/non-routine sludge haulage operations Liaising with RES drivers and Contractors Ensure daily sickness are recorded Ensure driver availability information is completed in a timely manner. Unplanned vehicle down time is recorded and feedback in compliance with internal procedures. Ensuring all instructions to drivers & actions by drivers comply with current legislation & internal procedures, with any non-compliance reported immediately. Particular emphasis will be placed on ensuring compliance with the Operators License with respect to planning, scheduling & control, fleet, record keeping, reporting &/or other tasks undertaken which could affect compliance with the Operators License Undertakings & Declaration as follows – Ensuring the laws relating to the driving & operation of vehicles used under this license are observed Vehicles and trailers, including hired vehicles and trailers, are kept in a fit and serviceable condition. The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, along with the following attributes; Excellent IT skills – experience in MS Word, Excel and MS Access Traffic controller experience Strong communication skills – both verbal and written Ability to challenge and question Suppliers Negotiation skills Attention to detail Why Anglian Water?
