Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Salaried General Practitioner to join our established team and be a part of a Practice that really cares and makes a difference within the community. Although we are advertising for a salaried GP, there will be an opportunity for partnership in the near future.
Northgate Surgery is a modern, purpose-built Surgery, operating its own dispensary serving c7,000 patients. The practice is located within the Market Town of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. Our list size is increasing secondary to the continued expansion to the town.
Main duties of the job
In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Normal duties include face-to-face surgery consultations, telephone and video consultations, signing repeat prescriptions, reviewing patient test results and letters, and completing referral correspondence. Home visits are not frequent but sometimes may be required.
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, QOF and PCN DES.
Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation. Attending training, Practice Meetings and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.

Northgate Surgery is a well-established practice based in the Market Town of Uttoxeter. We are a friendly and forward-thinking practice with some of our GP's having specialist interests in Womens Health, respiratory medicine, and Minor surgery.

We use Teamnet for all practice policies and management.

We are a very friendly practice with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff. We have 3 Partner GPs, 1 ANP, 2 Practice nurses, an HCA, Clinical Pharmacist and First Contact Physiotherapist, all supported by an excellent management team.

A salaried General Practitioner working with a BMA contract.
Salaried GPs are encouraged to participate in learning and training and multidisciplinary audit. GPs will typically work with a mix of either telephone or face to face pre-booked and same day appointments, with full professional support always provided from the team.
