We are recruiting a Deputy Nursery Manager on behalf of our clients for their Forest School Nursery in Bootle, L20! This role will be starting in January 2025!,
* To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
* To deputise for the Nursery Manager when and if needed.
* To supervise and appraise nursery staff as directed by nursery manager (as and when needed).
* To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others. To make sure all daily registers, sleep records and risk assessments are completed.
* To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
* To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager.
* To be a role model for all staff.
* To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
* To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress and to support other staff in doing so.
* To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
This role will be suitable for a Childcare professional who has Level 3 in Childcare and experience within SENCO and some deputy manager experience., Level 3 in Childcare or higher
* SENCO experience is desirable but not essential
* Management experience is desirable but not essential
* Minimum of 2 years in a Childcare Role
* Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS Framework
All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered on the DBS update service. Candidates will be asked to provide a minimum of five years references and successfully pass all safeguarding checks. * Pay: £17-19 per hour depending on experience
