Job summary This post is to work in the Community Respiratory Service alongside experienced exisiting support workers, assistant practitioners, specilaist nurses, specialist physios, OT and dietitian to support people living with Asthma, COPD, Bromchiectasis and ILD within Sandwell. For this post you must be able to drive/hold a UK licence and have a car that you can use for work purposes. Main duties of the job The post holder will work alongside specialist respiratory nurses and physiotherapistsas well as other members of the Community Respiratory Service (Dietitian, OT), to deliver care in the patients home and clinic settings for patients who live in Sandwell and/or have a Sandwell GP. The successful candidate will be required to contribute to the development of an expanding service, ensuring high quality patient focused care. The successful candidate will also need to cover shifts, weekends and bank holidaysas part of a rota. The post holder will need to be flexible to meet the demands of the service carrying out other duties as required. The post holder will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will be expected to liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team across primary and secondary care. The post holder will be expected to take blood (training can be given) and observations from patients at home and in a clinic setting and support the Sandwell Home Oxygen Service and Pulmonary Rehab.
