Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior MSK Physiotherapist at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
Applications are invited from experienced clinicians who have a broad range of clinical skills for the above post within the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service based at University Hospital Crosshouse. The majority of the caseload consists of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, but in addition you could be referred patients who have multiple pathologies. As a Physiotherapist in MSK you will have a special interest in the management of musculoskeletal conditions to work within MSK services in NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
You will provide direct clinical care, which encompasses advanced physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management of patients with musculoskeletal disorders. You will contribute to the working of a physiotherapy team but be expected to work independently for the majority of the day. Continuous professional development, evidence of post graduate development and experience in MSK is essential to this role.
This post offers developmental opportunities to gain knowledge in Orthopaedics, Complex Case Clinics, Pain Management, Emergency Department, Rheumatology, Occupational Health, Prison service and Primary Care Services. This knowledge will help enhance the established MSK pathways. The service supports the use of telephone and video/ virtual clinics, training will be provided.

1. Diploma/MSc/BSc in Physiotherapy
2. Current Health Professions Council registration
3. Proven clinical experience in relevant clinical specialty
