An excellent opportunity has arisen to offer maternity leadership cover to our 16-17 Young People’s integrated service. The successful candidate will be working within a high performing, and well established, NHS Talking Therapies service.
The 16-17 service was developed in collaboration with Greenwich CAMHS and we are proud of our close partnership.
The 16-17 service provides individualised early intervention to young people with symptoms of anxiety and depression. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is the main mode of intervention, but we also offer interpersonal therapies (DIT, IPT). Assessment, formulation and intervention for this age group are further informed by systemic thinking as indicated by the evidence base.

You will oversee the provision of NICE recommended primary care psychological therapies to 16–17-year-old clients accessing Greenwich NHS Talking Therapies service. You will supervise and provide specialist psychological assessment, intervention and treatment using evidence-based interventions for common mental health problems.
You will be contributing substantially to the development of the service including the routine collection, review and feedback of outcome data. You will ensure activity targets are adhered to and that the 16-17 service continues to offer accessible, high quality and effective care.
You will be managing a small team of psychological therapists, ensuring clinical and managerial supervision occurs regularly. You will be offering advice and consultation on adolescent and young adults psychological care to therapists and to non-psychologist colleagues.
You will be maintaining good relationships with personnel of partner organisations, and work in liaison with CAMHS.
It will be a requirement of this role to participate in job planning which forms a key part of the working practices of qualified psychological therapists.

Greenwich Time to Talk is a primary care NHS Talking Therapies Service offering evidenced based interventions to residents of the Greenwich borough who require support for common mental health problems. The service work to NICE guidelines for Depression, OCD, PTSD, and Anxiety presentations, using a stepped-care model. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of the 16-17 integrated service at Greenwich Time to Talk.
The successful candidate willwork directly with 16-17 year olds accessing our service and will additionallysupervise and line manage a small team of therapists working with this client group.
The postholder will liaise with CAMHS and relevant services and feel confident consulting and offering referral management to colleagues working with young people within the service.
Skills in audit and research will be utilised to evaluate and support continued development of the 16-17 service.
The postholder will contribute to our senior team meetings and ensure that the 16-17 service is working in line with service and Trust policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a passion and interest to work with young people and will demonstrate skill, experience and expertise working clinically with this client group.
