Salary: Starting at £28,000+ DOE plus overtime, on-call & benefits
Metro Rod has been leading the way in drainage solutions for over 40 years. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod is a leading provider of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. The services are provided by over 40 franchisees with geographical coverage across most of the UK, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
This is a full-time vacancy and will involve providing a range of emergency and contracted services to both commercial and domestic customers. The successful candidate will be provided with a company van and fuel card.
What does it entail?
1. Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers' drains.
2. Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards.
3. Carrying out surveys.
4. Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise.
5. Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps.
6. Communicating effectively with high-profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided.
7. Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four, variable according to business needs.
What are we looking for?
1. High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training is provided for the right candidate.
2. Confined space entry experience.
3. CSCS tickets.
4. Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
5. Positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
6. Willingness to be part of a growing and progressive business.
7. Willingness to work some unsociable hours.
8. Full UK driving licence.
9. Must live in the Peterborough area.
