About the role We are seeking a proactive and highly professional individual to join the busy Placements team within our Faculty as Placements and Study Exchange Manager. As a team we play a vital role in researching and developing opportunities to generate new placements, in the UK and overseas, as well as maintaining positive relationships with current providers and partner institutions, ensuring that services are effective and adapt to changing circumstances. You will take responsibility for the placements programme in several departments, ensuring services are efficient, effective and adapt to changing circumstances, developing common systems and processes standardised on best practice, and making sure that the Placements Team are supported at all times. The role will also have responsibility for the operation of the study exchange programme in the Department of Economics, ensuring that partnerships are maintained and that student processes are clear and well-promoted. Further to this, the role will support the Head of Employability in finding internal synergies and the creation and development of a Faculty strategic plan for the potential further development of study exchanges. About you This is a critical role, supporting the Head of Employability to deliver placements and exchanges in support of the Faculty’s commitment to undergraduate student employability. The following skills, experience and characteristics will be essential in this role: Interpersonal and team-building skills will be vital to provide leadership and support to the team. You will need to have excellent organisational skills, demonstrate a good use of initiative and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise. Diplomacy, tact and cultural awareness are key to developing strong links both nationally and internationally, in order to optimise the opportunities that we can offer to our students.
