A bit about the role...
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated, enthusiastic Finance team in a national organisation with real social purpose.
This critical role sits within the Strategic Finance and Business Partnering Team within the Agency’s Finance Directorate, reporting to the Senior Manager - Strategic Finance Delivery.
The holder of the role will be responsible for a variety of work, including monthly financial analysis and reporting, preparation of MI, supporting business planning and fiscal events, and involvement in effective cash management.
We are dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service, resolving queries efficiently, and taking an innovative and creative approach wherever possible. We believe in working collaboratively and flexibly and value diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within our team.
This is a rare chance to help shape the future of finance in the organisation, working with key stakeholders, including budget holders, Business Partners, MHCLG, Finance Reporting, and Transactional Services teams. You will have the opportunity to support every programme delivered by Homes England. With current annual spend of c£4bn and an ambitious multi-year Spending Review on the horizon, there couldn’t be a better time to join the Homes England Strategic Finance and Business Partnering Team.
A bit about you…
As part of the Finance team centrally located in the organisation, you will enjoy engaging with colleagues effectively and be able to confidently discuss financial matters and issues.
You will be accustomed to managing multiple tasks simultaneously and will always seek ways to improve and innovate.
You will be comfortable challenging delivery forecasts and the underlying assumptions upon which they are based, drawing parallels across business areas to identify issues and key risks to delivery.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable communicating and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation at different levels.
Who are we?
Homes England: The Housing and Regeneration Agency

As the government’s housing and regeneration agency, we create thriving new places and transform urban areas, combining the full breadth of our powers, expertise, land, capital, and influence to bring investment to communities and get more homes built.
We form long-term partnerships that bridge the gap between the public and private sector to meet local needs and aspirations. We use our influence to champion the creation of sustainable homes, communities, and places that are brilliantly designed for the people who live there now and in the future. We use our funding and support to build a more resilient, diverse, and innovative housing sector, helping new entrants in the market, encouraging modern methods of construction and design, and promoting the utmost attention to building safety.
Together with our partners, we’re accelerating the pace of house building, remediation, and regeneration across the country, as we seek to deliver ever more affordable homes in places people are proud to call home for generations to come.
